Covered local news assignments for 24/7 newsroom; traveled to story locations to shoot video, identify and conduct interviews on breaking news and large-scale events including Hurricane Sandy from its onset. Cabled and shot live press conferences, council hearings, perp walks, fires and active crime scenes. Worked with truck ops for live broadcasts as well as employing Dejero, an independent live broadcast system, relaying details to assignment editors, producers and writers ensuring seamless communication between in-house and field crews.
